This superb barn conversion can be found in the heart of the beautiful Cheshire countryside surrounded by fields, which on the right nights will offer stunning sunsets. Set around a pretty courtyard on the friendly owner’s working farm, as a former milking parlour it’s full of character, with exposed beams and a high vaulted ceiling. It boasts underfloor heating and makes a wonderfully cosy retreat for couples.
In nearby Middlewich (10 minutes) you’ll find ample amenities together with a beautiful meandering canal system perfect for towpath cycling or strolls, and 15 minutes in the other direction is the pretty half-timbered town of Nantwich which offers good shopping and quite uniquely a seasonal outdoor salt swimming pool. Halfway between Chester (45 minutes) and Manchester (60 minutes) the location is within easy reach of a whole host of visitor attractions including many National Trust properties such as Tatton Park, Little Moreton Hall and Dunham Massey which can all be reached in around 30 minutes. The castles of Beeston, Cholmondley and Peckferton can also be reached in around 30 minutes as can Delamere Forest and Wild Shore Delamere. Chester Zoo and the Blue Planet Aquarium are around a 45-minute drive as is the Peak District National Park.
