House, with private swimming pool, unlimited view, near beaches. Very quiet property, situated on a hill overlooking the countryside and the sea.
10 minutes from the beaches and the shopping center, 15 kms from the city of Heraklion. To 6 kms are, water park, an aquarium, golf, museum Knossos, Heraklion.
The house of Margarita was a wonderful discovery. We had the self-contained top floor with a conservatory entrance which led directly onto the terrace and private pool with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. We saw eagles, vultures and hawks every day. The main, double bedroom has a terrace overlooking the front of the house giving another beautiful view and morning shade. As described in detail in our place.. ...myhousetorent... The house is unique and full of Margarita's own work art and spiritual warmth - she's a doll maker. The short road leading from the village is steep and takes a bit to get used to and while the house does not have 5 star luxury, it is spacious, nicely decorated and I highly recommend it to those with a bit more Adventurous nature that aren 't seeking all the luxury and modern convenience. Margarita was warm and welcoming and invited us to look at her in a traditional room and provided many recommendations. She could not have been more helpful. When we did not want to drive, the 10 minute walk into the village of the local tavern on the square proved invaluable serving good portions of traditional Greek dishes at very good prices.
