Positive: I recently stayed at Lux Cave in Malala, Crete, and had an exceptional experience. The apartment is beautifully situated close to the center of the village, offering the perfect balance between convenience and tranquility. We loved that it was not too far from the action, yet far enough to avoid any noise from the concerts when we wanted to sleep early. The view of the sea from the apartment was stunning, and everything inside felt brand new—as if we were the very first guests. The attention to detail in the design and furnishings was impressive, and it made our stay even more enjoyable. The host was incredibly generous, providing plenty of gifts upon our arrival, including food for breakfast like donuts and cake, juice, a bottle of raki, and even a painting set as a gift for my daughter. These thoughtful touches really made us feel welcome. Overall, Lux Cave provided a perfect retreat, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay in Malala.

Negative: One thing to note is that the path to the apartment is quite steep, which might be challenging for some. However, the peace and views you get once you’re there are well worth it.

Summary: We are a couple with a 7 yo and stayed there for 9 days to relax after a road trip through Crete.
