Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Good central location in the town with parking right outside. A good size property, with spacious hallway and lounge, a fairly well equipped comfortable simple kitchen with excellent appliances (including kettle!). Property was warm and comfortable in autumn (efficient pellet heater) and generally had everything we needed for a 2 night stay. Nice bathroom. Easy to check-in and the owner is friendly and speaks English. Also good that payment is automatic (via booking.com) so no inconvenience with having to pay on site.

Negative: Unfortunately the master bedroom is on the top floor and the bathroom is on the ground floor, so be aware there are 2 flights of stairs to descend if you need to use the toilet during the night. And there is no door for the children’s sleeping quarter, it is an extension of the lounge area on the first floor, so may not work for families with young children. Future guests note also there is 1€ per day tourist tax extra per adult, to be paid in cash. Kettle could do with regular descaling - it was caked in limescale on our arrival. Would also suggest better cooking utensils eg something for frying eggs would help and to be provided with 2 tea towels, microfibres dishcloth, plus hand soap in the kitchen as anyone coming by plane cannot pack liquid soap in their case! Also curtains in the main bedroom in the attic would be good as there were only thin paper blinds that don’t make the room dark enough. The mattress is quite thin so there are dips from the weight of previous guests, which whilst just ok for us might not be supportive or comfortable enough for everyone. The sofa is also quite small for 4 people to relax properly and it feels a bit ‘budget’ - there is space for a more comfortable sofa. But overall it was fine for a couple of nights.
