No smoking.. Beech Lodge is located on the original, established side of the Marina within a gated community. It is set within a quiet and attractively maintained landscaped area and a short walk away from the marina boardwalk and all the amenities that the Marina has to offer.
Being the original show home for the lodge development it is attractively fitted out to a high standard. Patio doors from the living area gives access to our private veranda where you can enjoy outdoor eating and relaxing, overlooking a secluded grassed area with Marina views where you can enjoy observing the birds and other wildlife visitors.
Inside, the lodge is equipped with everything you may need to make your stay enjoyable, including microwave, dishwasher, fibre broadband, Smart TV and fire stick providing access to your own Netflix, Amazon, Amazon music and Disney accounts. The attractive spacious open plan living space provides comfortable seating and dining, overlooking the outside veranda. The appealing layout of the lodge includes two spacious bedrooms, one each side of the central living area. One bedroom has a kingsize bed and en-suite bathroom with roll-top bath, while the other bedroom has a double bed and a single bed with spacious en-suite shower. Both bedrooms have large, adjoining walk-in closets where you will find hanging space and baby equipment. The owners have also provided a cool bag, rug and picnic set to use for days out, or even just a stroll to the park area with its variety of trees and picnic benches.
Nestled in the largest inland marina in Europe this really is the perfect base to explore all that the local area has to offer. Why not take advantage of the Boardwalk, a promenade of 6 boutique retailers, centred around a bar/restaurant. You can also discover a sensory garden at the end of The Boardwalk to sit and relax. Nearby Findern is a lovely village situated six miles west of Derby. The village green is overlooked by the Parish Church, where an 1862 carved semi-circular stone or ’tympanum’ is preserved. There are great walks in the area, and it is a great base to explore the Peak District with its market towns of Bakewell and Ashbourne, as well as its many pretty villages. The National Trust properties of Calke Abbey, Kedleston Hall and Sudbury Hall with its museum of childhood are all within 10 miles. A little further is Hardwick Hall and the Duke of Devonshire’s Chatsworth Estate with its annual country fair and Adventure Farm for children. The National Memorial Arboretum and the rich heritage of Burton-on-Trent with its National Brewery Centre Museum is just down the road.
