Summary: Room was clean but old and tired. When we arrived the pillows weren’t in pillow cases. The staff did put this right but the pillows were so old and thin they put 2 into each pillowcase. The bed itself was also tired. My partner spent the night with a spring making itself known to his ribs! Bits were missing/falling off the shower head and tap and the furniture was quite knocked about and chipped. There were no plug sockets by the bed at all. They were on the opposite wall. Luckily, I take a travel extension lead with me. On the plus side the hotel is in a great position in the centre of Halifax. Perfect for a concert at the Piece Hall. I paid over £100 for a standard double- not particularly ‘budget’
