Summary: Great things: amazing neighborhood and location, friendly and competent staff, nice bar/restaurant, pure water on tap in lobby to fill bottles (if that’s your thing), breakfast buffet is truly impressive. Surprising oddball things: no real bathmat, no rooms with two beds (sleeper sofa is okay), weird sheets all sewn together for sleeper sofa (could not figure these out but the next day housekeeping fixed them nicely), instant coffee packs in room (noooo…), and for some reason you can’t tip on your credit card charge in the bar/restaurant (& the front desk has no cash to make change (elsewhere in London it has been possible to tip on a cc). And I never did figure out how to operate the room lights (on or off with your hotel room card but no way to pick and choose from individual lights in room except for the reading lights). Overall very pleasant and I would go again.
