This seat of the Clan Kerr lies two miles south of Jedburgh in the Scottish Borders. Ferniehirst Castle oozes charm, is steeped in history, and is grand yet homely. If you are looking for something a little bit different, you may have just stumbled upon it.
The Castle is still a well-loved home to the Kerr family and is therefore a warm and cosy place to stay. A romantic and historic building very well equipped to cater for all modern day comforts. The Great Hall is the social centre of Ferniehirst, with a large ornate fireplace as the main feature. We also have two kitchens, three further reception rooms. There are nine bedrooms and eight bathrooms, across the main Castle and adjoining Lothian Wing. We also have a tennis court.
We are in a rural area, so suggest you have a car for your stay. It is not necessary and there are taxis, but we think you will have a nicer stay if you do have a car.
