There is a church nearby built in 1816 and another one built in the Byzantine times (12th century AD) 500 metres away. The village is surrounded by olive trees and is situated 5 minutes away by car (1200 metres) from the sea where one can find beach bars and night bars, restaurants and a variety of shops. There are many mountain peaks for those keen on climbing and many gorges to explore for those keen on trekking.
