This is a huge villa (270m² /2900 ft²), right next to the center of Rethymnon, with panoramic views of the sea and the castle very open and bright spaces, divided into two floors.
First floor
Has a huge terrace of 55m² / 590ft², with panoramic views of the sea and the castle and a second one surrounded by a lot of greenish.

Neighborhood
This is a quite neighborhood, as the house is next to a large field.
Down the road (600meters walk) there is a mini market for your basic supplies and a big supermarket 1klm away from home.
On the same road there is also a mini cafeteria that offers good quality and a big quantity of coffee, 2 of the top 5 restaurants in town and a really beautiful cocktail bar. All of them right next to the sea.
A bank ATM machine is available little before reaching the city center and also a big supermarket.
The best things you can do is either to go to the nearest beach on foot (about 5 minutes), or to the old town(3-5 minutes by car, about 20 minutes on foot).
In additional, you can surely enjoy the restaurants, cocktail bar and cafeteria.
There is plenty of space for parking your car or cars
There is a bus station located to the nearest road (500 meters away from the home)
The highway is also 5minutes away from home, so it is easy for you to travel around Crete by bus or by your car.
The nearest airport station is located in Chania (66klm away), the town next to Rethymnon, but there is also one in Heraklion

Summary: The Villa was very clean and spacious (perfect with kids). Lots of windows and sunlight. Also, with a view of the Fortezza. Quiet surroundings with occasional sounds of farm animals and church music. The main big patio was the best part of the house. It overlooked the sea with the sunrise to the right and sunset to the left. A lovely jacuzzi was great to relax in on the patio while viewing the sea. The owner had cleaners come mid-trip which was very nice. The owner provided us with food and activity recommendations. He also gave us a quick tour/run down of the house which was appreciated as we were foreigners for the USA. There are some beach toys and umbrellas. There is a beach at the bottom of the hill which is quite rocky. There are a couple racks for drying clothes. The owner provided laundry detergent. He also had a few surprises cultural thank you gifts planned for us throughout our stay! Overall, very happy with our stay!
