The materials used in the construction were selected carefully emphasizing on environmental protection; local stones were used in walls and floors, unprocessed wood, ochre and ecological paints for plastering and floors as well as traditional construction techniques for the exterior and interior plastering, the rooms and floors.
The exact site of the building was selected after careful study in order to achieve optimal results in heating and cooling. Solar energy is also used wherever it is possible.
