In the center of the traditional village of Litsarda, in the green region of Apokoronas in the province of Chania, is located our stone house. It belongs to our family since generations, and due to our passion for archaeology and architecture we renovated using original material. Stone and wood predominate in the atmosphere of this picturesque residence. The exterior and the interior spaces mix with each other creating a unique environment for relaxation into nature.
The passion for gardening lead us create the gardens of the house, which offer coolnes, smells and beaudy.
The house is organised keeping a balance between the needs of the modern life style and the traditional principles of architecture.
There is a central yard with a stone well and a grape pergola, where you can enjoy the lazy summer nights. There is also the arched outdoor dinning area, to enjoy your dishes all the year time. An organised bbq allow you to cook outdoors, a beloved habit of the locals! The terrace allows you to spend your evenings under a unique sky full of stars! You have never seen more starry sky!
The interrior of the house consists of spacious rooms, that only the rich traditional architecture can offer!
A wooden bedroom on the roof let you feel the real sense of the life in islands. The spacious main bedroom can hoste all the activities of private spaces, like reading and enjoy nice music!
The kitchen is equipted for the needs of a modern family and there is a washing machine.
The beaches of the north coast are only 15 min by car, and you can choose everyday another sundy beach to enjoy the sun! The south coast, of the region of Sfakia, of unique beady, is only 50 min away. Both cities of the region, Chania in the west and Rethymno to the east are not more than 25 min by car.
In the villages around you can enjoy wonderful evenings! The whole province of Apokoronas is appropriate for visitors that love originality, away for touristic places. You will have the opportunity to eat food of the best quality of really creative local kitchen!
In the region during July you can visit music nights of local and international artists, since music and art play a significant role in this small part of the island!
