Firstly, you will meet with the beautifully, modern designed living room, which consists of a dark blue sofa, that can be used as a sofa bed and accommodate one more guest and a wooden coffee table, all of them beautifully decorated. Additionally, there is a 42’’ TV provided in the same area, that attracts you to sit by the lounge, watching TV or reading books and relaxing with your loved ones! You will be charmed by the design and the feelings of joy received! The living room also provides direct access to the outdoor sitting area and the pool terrace! Additionally, a wooden, modern designed, fully equipped kitchen is there to welcome you, with a spacious dining area, featuring a modern wooden table with four seats, if you wish to prepare and enjoy your meals at home. While walking further on the ground floor, you will find a two-single bedroom, which is designed with modern style and an elegant touch and has direct access to the terrace and the pool area. Villa Portokali is located less than 5 minutes by car from Bali village and its sandy beach. Bali was a small fishing village, but over the years has become a charming touring village, overlooking the little fishing harbour and the sea. It is a very attractive and romantic place, combining sea and mountains. Life is easy going enjoying the sun and the clear calm sea at a number of sandy and shingly beaches. Bali is a modern seaside resort, which offers a large choice of taverns ,restaurants, a bakery, an ATM machine, super markets, a butchery and cheese shop, as well as a wide variety of little shops, diving school, bars and cafes.
Bali is accessible from any part of the island.It is ideal for family and romantic holidays. Bali has four beaches, which are formed in sandy coves with nice greenish waters.The beaches are almost always calm, since the direction of Bali is western.They all are suitable for children and well organised. Moreover, buses from Heraklion and Rethymnon run to Bali.Furthermore, from the local harbour, excursion boats run daily to Rethymnon. The passengers have the chance to admire a unique coastline with beautiful caves and rock formations.
Also Panormo, is a friendly sea side village, less than 20 minutes by car and well know for its sandy beaches. The two main beaches are Limanaki and Limni. Both of them are sandy with clear blue water and ideal for kids, as they are shallow and well protected from winds. The beaches are organised and equipped with sun beds, umbrellas. Water sports are also available.Even further to the east, there is a small cove with a pebbly beach, ideal for seclusion and snorkeling.
The village has all the facilities and amenities one would need : well-stocked mini-markets, post office, pharmacy, a doctor’s office, a butcher's shop, bakery (hot, fresh bread every morning from 9 am), various gift shops and traditional seaside shops at very reasonable prices.
Further, there is a good selection of cafes and excellent traditional tavernas, overlooking the harbour and the sea, which offer a warm welcome and a beautiful setting to enjoy some traditional Cretan food, fish as well as international dishes.
