Summary: My wife and I love Greece and especially the Greek islands and their people but this was our first visit to Paros. We could not have asked for a better place to stay than Michel/Stavros studio apartment. Michel met us at the ferry port and drove us to the apartment and right away we knew we had made a great choice. His generous hospitality throughout our stay was way beyond our expectations, with fruit, bread and cheese appearing regularly at breakfast time or when we returned from a day on the beach. He is a charming and wonderful host. The apartment is about five minutes walk from the nearest beach and ten minutes from the village centre. It is in a quiet area with pleasant views of the countryside and a reasonable glimpse of the sea. In the opposite direction, going away from the sea, there is a supermarket and across the road, an excellent bakery within five minutes walk. Also a fresh fruit and vegetable shop. So you very easily cater for yourself with good local produce should you want to. There are a few really good tavernas in the village centre right by the sea where we spent most evenings sitting outside eating traditional Greek fayre. There is a bus service to the town of Parikia, where the ferry port is. It takes about 20 minutes to get there, but the time table is, shall we say, a little flexible, so you sometimes have to wait a while for a bus into town. Coming back they are on time. We wholeheartedly recommend the Michel/Stavros apartments as a relaxing holiday destination. When we go back to Paros it will be to stay with Michel/Stavros.
